Footage has shown that Donald Trump’s Super Bowl Party aired Bad Bunny’s halftime show instead of Kid Rock’s, and some fans have criticised him for making “hypocritical” comments at the Puerto Rican superstar.
Bad Bunny headlined the halftime show at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday (February 8), and became the first Latin male artist, and the first artist performing primarily in Spanish, ever to take the prestigious slot.
His set celebrated Latin music and included an impressive number of guest appearances, including Pedro Pascal, Cardi B, Jessica Alba, Karol G, Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.
Ahead of the slot, there was controversy over the decision to enlist Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl halftime show, with the singer coming under personal attack from the MAGA movement, and from Donald Trump, who called the decision “crazy” and claimed that he had “never heard” of him.
