The iPhone 5 that launched back in 2012 is now considered obsolete, according to Apple’s list of vintage and obsolete products. Apple moved the iPhone 5 and the 8GB iPhone 4 from the vintage list to the obsolete list today. A device is ”vintage” when it has been five years since it was last distributed for sale, and ”obsolete” at the seven-year mark, though Apple sometimes stretches its timelines.

The Kennedy Center board voted to close down the arts institution for two years, but questions about the legality of doing so remain. 

At a board meeting Monday, the board, which is now made up of Trump appointees, moved to vote for the closure starting after July 4, due to what the President has described as necessary renovations. The board also voted in favor of The Washington National Opera’s decision to leave the Kennedy Center, according to an attendee at the meeting. 

Even before they began, Trump, who has named himself chair of the board, noted that he viewed the vote on the matter as largely irrelevant. 

Apple has been announced as an official partner of this year’s TCS London Marathon ahead of race day next month. Running and Apple already have a strong association after a decade of developing the Apple Watch to be the best run tracking smartwatch on the market.

Many of the categories at the 98th Academy Awards were absolutely stacked, but ”Sinners” and ”One Battle After Another” led the winners’ list during last night’s ceremony. Among the major awards that Paul Thomas Anderson’s ”One Battle After Another” won last night (including Best Picture) was the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, which went to Sean Penn, who plays Col. Steven J. Lockjaw in the film. This was the actor’s third Oscar win, with his previous awards for Best Actor being for ”Mystic River” and ”Milk” in 2004 and 2009, respectively.

Jane Fonda is questioning why Barbra Streisand — rather than her — paid tribute to Robert Redford on the Oscars stage Sunday night during the ceremony’s In Memoriam segment.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Fonda was asked about her thoughts on this year’s In Memoriam montage, specifically about the late Diane Keaton. The two actors worked together on 2018’s “Book Club” and its 2023 sequel.
