Tribeca Films has acquired the documentary We Are Pat, focused on the legacy of the androgynous Saturday Night Live character played by Julia Sweeney, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

The film, directed by Rowan Haber, premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Festival and earned a special jury mention for new documentary director.

Tribeca Films, the distribution label from Tribeca Enterprises and Giant Pictures, will release We Are Pat digitally in June.

YouTube is just as wary of the rise of AI slop as you, and that’s why more AI-generated content is coming to the platform in the near future. The BBC will start producing original content for Google’s YouTubeunder a landmark deal unveiled with the Alphabet-owned video powerhouse, which has disrupted traditional TV and increasingly positioned itself as a partner for TV networks.

The news comes as the British broadcaster continues to look for ways to reach younger audiences in the digital age. The initial focus of the partnership is set to be on the younger audiences of the BBC Three channel, covering entertainment and news and sports content.

Elon Musk is reportedly looking to finally take SpaceX public after years of resistance, according to sources who spoke to The Wall Street Journal. The company has long said it wouldn’t choose an IPO until it had established a presence on Mars. That isn’t happening anytime soon.

So why now? Company insiders have suggested it’s because Musk wants to build AI data centers in space. Google recently announced it was looking into putting a data center in space, with test launches scheduled for 2027. Musk reportedly wants to beat his rival to the punch, but SpaceX would need the billions of dollars in capital that an IPO would deliver. Putting a giant center in space isn’t cheap.

European officials appeared relieved by US President Donald Trump’s promise Wednesday to not invade Greenland — but they remain wary over his persistent demands to acquire the autonomous island.

During his Davos speech, Trump said he was seeking “immediate negotiations” to acquire Greenland, but pledged not to use force to seize it.

Denmark’s foreign minister said that while Trump’s comments were “positive in isolation,” Copenhagen was not willing to compromise on giving up the Danish dependent territory.
