X announced a new option that will enable users to listen to long-form articles posted to the app, powered by the voice of xAI’s Grok artificial intelligence chatbot.
X’s long-form articles will now be displayed with a “Listen” button when they appear in-stream, which will allow users to activate an audio translation of the content.
Users will be able to listen to the audio as they scroll in X, or even when switching to other apps, via background play.

According to Wired, Apple is blocking US users from downloading or updating several ByteDance-owned apps, even when they have a valid Chinese App Store account.
Here are the details.
Timing coincides with TikTok’s US divestiture
Despite being widely known for TikTok (and its Chinese version, Douyin), ByteDance develops and distributes multiple apps on the App Store. That includes Capcut, Lemon8, Lark, and Hypic.
Until recently, users in the US could download these apps as they would any other app in the App Store. However, according to Wired, Apple has been blocking downloads of ByteDance-owned apps, even when users have a valid Chinese App Store account.

Following in the footsteps of Australia, Indonesia will be the latest country to limit social media usage for children under 16. Meutya Hafid, Indonesia’s communication and digital affairs minister, announced that a new government regulation will require ”high-risk” platforms to delete any accounts from Indonesia that are under 16, starting on March 28.
Hafid said in the announcement that the implementation would be done in stages, starting with major platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, Roblox and Bigo Live, a live-streaming platform based in Singapore. The minister added that all platforms will have to fulfill compliance obligations from the Indonesian government, but didn’t specify what they were. In response to the ban, a Meta spokesperson told The New York Timesthat the company hasn’t received an official regulation from the country yet and was awaiting details.

To clear the shelves, a whopping 15 existing products have been pulled from the lineup. Perhaps the most interesting part is the range, though. Some of the discontinued products were barely six months old, while the oldest dates back to 2019.
