And as it continues to optimize for AI search, both on and off platform, it’s engaged, expert communities could help to boost the platform as a key source of information. Unless, that is, Reddit ends up pricing too many LLM projects out of the market.
First off, on users. Reddit is now sitting at 121.4 million daily actives, up from 116 million in Q3.

Retro games, a metroidvania classic, and a pair of demos from Capcom are on Switch 2 now.
Nintendo’s first Direct of 2026 showed off a long lineup of third-party games coming to the Switch and Switch 2 this year, with previously announced heavy hitters like Resident Evil Requiem and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle making appearances. While many of these games are available for preorder now, a few other titles and demos launched today, including two retro console games and a beloved metroidvania.

Apple has released watchOS 11.6.2 today, rolling out a targeted fix for a critical connectivity issue affecting users in Australia. This update is available for the Apple Watch Series 6 and later.
According to reports, this build resolves an issue that prevented some users from making calls to emergency services while in Australia. Apple states that this update has no published CVE entries, indicating it is strictly a bug fix rather than a security patch.
The release arrives shortly after Apple pushed out a similar set of updates for older devices, including iOS 16.7.14, which addressed the same mobile network problem on legacy iPhones.

The breakout ratings performance of ABC’s High Potentialshows no signs of slowing down midway through its second season.
The series delivered its biggest seven-day audience to date with the Jan. 20 episode, drawing 12.98 million viewers after a week of streaming and other delayed viewing. That’s more than double its first-night total of 5.93 million viewers. The episode’s 2.17 rating among adults 18-49 (equivalent to about 2.95 million people in that demographic) is a fivefold increase from its starting point of 0.41.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer apologized Thursday to victims of Jeffrey Epstein for appointing Peter Mandelson as the U.K.’s ambassador to Washington despite his ties to the disgraced financier.
The prime minister said Mandelson had lied and ”portrayed Epstein as someone he barely knew.”
